Energy Storage Faculty Consortium Project - Germany Day 3

Today we met with author Arnie Jungjohann who shared insights on the German Energiewende.  Our conversation explored highlights from Arne’s book Energy Democracy, and the participation of the German citizenry in the renewable energy transformation.  The dialogue also touched on issues related to sustainable transportation and urban air quality.  We were interested to learn that Germany is facing many of the same challenges as the U.S., related to urban planning and the integration of renewable energy and electrification of the transportation sector.
